Koda is a medium sized Basenji mix with a great temperment. He's a little wary at first but warms up well to people and dogs. He is nice and playful. He is young, probably just at a year old and is fully grown at roughly 35 pounds.

He is neutered. He will have his microchip and shots within the week. His adoption fee is $175 which includes his shots and microchip.

Koda will be available to meet at the Petsmart on Chandler Boulevard just east of the 101 Freeway on Saturdays from 11 AM until 3 PM until adopted.

General Comments: Holly is a big bundle of love in a tiny package! Don't let her pint size fool you though, this girl loves to play and run! She was a hit at the dog park recently, and made new doggy friends easily as they happily romped in the grass. She is very social with people and loves to give wonderful puppy kisses. After she's expended her energy, then yes, Holly finds refuge and comfort in the arms of her person. She loves to snuggle up close, and did I mention she likes to kiss? She is a sweetie pie! General Comments: Our little Tabitha is as cute as a button. She loves belly rubs, going on walks and hanging out in your lap. The world hasn't been that kind to our little gal so she's a bit shy but quickly warms up and is eager to accept attention. Tabitha's new family should be active, loving, enjoy snuggle time and doggie training classes would be an added bonus for this cutie and of course Tabby needs to have another smaller, active canine friend to romp with and go on daily walks. We've been telling her about a wonderful loving home that she will soon have for her very own. She is eager to meet her new family. Alaskan Malamute: An adoptable dog in White Sands, NM


Suki is about 1 year old. She has a sweet disposition but she has not had any training or socialization. She has displayed aggression towards other dogs, both male and female. She is not aggressive towards every dog she meets, but her reaction at this point is unpredictable. Suki will require a strong, confident owner, preferably one already familiar with malamutes or huskies. I believe she can be socialized to accept other dogs but it will take time and energy. She is very loving and playful with older children and with adults. She is a very big, exuberant puppy - if her energy is channeled into lots of outdoor exercise and positive-reinforcement training, she has the potential to be an absolute show-stopper. She is a gorgeous girl.

Just like the legend of the Phoenix, I too have risen from the ashes. I came to AAWL with a horrible burn on my back. No one knew from what, but it was extremely painful. The nice folks here at the shelter nursed me back to health and I'm better than ever - a new me! I am a smart, playful, loyal energetic boy! I am a true staff favorite. Playing with other dogs in a large group is fun for me, but I am very very very playful so it can make other dogs afraid of me. But, I am a big softie. I need a home where I can get lots and lots of exercise, play, walks, training and attention. I am NO couch potato. I love tennis balls. If you have another dog at home, it should be about my size and like to play rough and fast.
